Biography

Dr. Sujata Chakravarti is a Consultant Family Physician. She completed her MBBS from the oldest medical college in Asia, Medical College, Kolkata (Calcutta University) and Post-graduation in Family Medicine – Masters in Medicine, from CMC Vellore (Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University).

She is certified in Diabetes, Thyroid disorder management, Cardiovascular disease, and Geriatric care, Obesity Management, and Palliative Care;

She also holds the prestigious FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.

She is a life member of World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA), and Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI), New Delhi; a professional member of American Diabetes Association (ADA), and an international affiliate member of Royal College of General Practitioners(RCGP), London.

Her special interests are in preventive medicine and chronic lifestyle disease care.

She is passionate about the cause of Family Medicine and the training of medical students in this specialty. She is associated as trainer/facilitator/faculty with Department of Distance education, CMC Vellore, NBEMS (DNB-Family Medicine) and Medvarsity Assimilate programs.

She is currently in-charge of the Executive Health Check-up department at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Navi Mumbai (Formerly known as Reliance Hospital, Koparkhairane)

Beyond work she loves writing, reading fiction and classic biographies, DIY arts and craft projects,cooking, travelling and enjoying the performing arts.
