Biography

Dr. Ram Bhagyawant (MD, DM Neurology – Gold Medalist) is a Consultant Neurologist in Navi Mumbai with over 8 years of clinical experience in diagnosing and treating complex neurological disorders. He is known for compassionate, evidence-based neurology care and is trusted for the management of stroke (paralysis), epilepsy (seizures/fits), migraine and headache disorders, vertigo, movement disorders (Parkinson’s disease), neuropathy, spine-related problems (spondylosis, slipped disc, radiculopathy), and neuro-infections. He provides comprehensive neurological evaluation and treatment for patients across Navi Mumbai.

He completed his MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai (2015) and MD (General Medicine) from Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai (2018). He subsequently completed DM Neurology from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr. RMLIMS), Lucknow, affiliated with KGMU, Lucknow, and was awarded the Gold Medal in Neurology (2021) for academic excellence.

Dr. Bhagyawant has strong academic and clinical credentials, with special interest in Vascular Neurology (Stroke and TIA care), Epilepsy and seizure management, and Headache/Migraine treatment. He has served as Assistant Professor of Neurology at Dr. RMLIMS, Lucknow and SN Medical College, Agra, and was later promoted to Associate Professor of Neurology at SN Medical College, Agra. He has also worked as a Consultant Neurologist at a leading corporate hospital in Navi Mumbai, bringing tertiary-care expertise into clinical practice.

  • Acute Stroke Thrombolysis (IV Thrombolysis) Coordination & Protocol-Based Management - Evidence-based acute stroke care including rapid evaluation, imaging review, eligibility assessment, and thrombolysis decision-making in appropriate candidates.
  • EEG / Video EEG (Electroencephalography) - Routine EEG for seizure/epilepsy evaluation, blackout episodes, altered sensorium, and encephalopathy assessment.
  • NCS (Nerve Conduction Study) - Diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy screening, plexopathy, and entrapment neuropathies.
  • EMG (Electromyography) - Detailed neuromuscular evaluation for myopathy, motor neuron disease, radiculopathy, and muscle disorders.
  • Repetitive Nerve Stimulation (RNS) - Diagnostic testing for Myasthenia Gravis and other neuromuscular junction disorders.
  • Evoked Potentials (VEP / BAER / SSEP) - Neurophysiology testing for visual pathway assessment, auditory pathway assessment, and sensory pathway evaluation (commonly used in demyelinating disorders and select Pediatric/adult indications).
  • Botulinum Toxin (Botox) Injections for Neurological Indications - Treatment for chronic migraine, hemifacial spasm, dystonia, spasticity, and selected movement disorder indications.
  • Comprehensive Vertigo & Dizziness Evaluation - Clinical bedside assessment (including positional testing where indicated) to differentiate BPPV, vestibular neuritis, central vertigo.
