Sitting for long hours might not be good for your heart

KDAH

Do you find yourself stuck behind the desk for 6 to 8 hours daily? With an increase in sedentary jobs, people have become more inactive than ever. All of that inactivity is taking a toll on health. It increases your risk of getting heart disease by 13%. Further, research also suggests that desk-bound workers are 20% more likely to experience a heart attack or stroke. For every 20 minutes of sitting, try to stand for eight minutes and move around for two minutes. You can also walk or jog in place, do some jumping jacks, stretch or do yoga. #WorldHeartDay
