Self examination helps in early detection

Check your breasts for changes, such as lumps or thickenings. If you notice anything unusual, tell your doctor. Check yourself once a month 4 to 5 days after your periods. Here are a few steps to follow for breast examination. Examine your breasts in the mirror, look for dimpling, puckering or bulging of the skin. Check your nipples for any signs of fluid coming out. Lie down on your back. Use your right hand to feel your left breast, circling it slowly. Repeat with the opposite hand and breast. #BreastCancerAwareness
