Recognize the initial signs and symptoms of pulmonary hypertension

KDAH

Pulmonary hypertension is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart. In this condition the blood vessels in the lungs are narrowed, blocked or destroyed thus slowing the blood flow through the lungs, and raising the blood pressure levels in the lung arteries. Since pulmonary hypertension progresses slowly, the symptoms also advance in different stages. Don’t wait if you’re experiencing symptoms of PH. The longer you wait, the more serious these symptoms may become. Eventually, it can limit you from doing all physical activity. If you have been noticing any of these symptoms, consult a doctor immediately.
