Importance of Pap smear

KDAH

Pap smears are a life-saving cervical cancer screening method. It checks for pre-cancers, which are cell abnormalities on the cervix that can progress to cervical cancer if left untreated. The test can detect malignant cells before they become cancerous in the cervix. Women should begin having pap smear tests at the age of 21 and repeat them every 2 to 3 years.
